Food Planting

Food plots are an important part of Merigold's hunting strategy. Merigold strives to establish high quality food plots throughout our property. Merigold Hunting Club plants the right-of-ways- along the main road system. These plot provide approximately 300 acres of annual and perennial food for wildlife. Scattered around the larger sections of the woodlands are over 70 smaller food plots averaging about an acre and half in size which the club maintains yearly.

An established perennial food plot lasts 3 - 5 years with little maintenance. Annual food plots are re-established every year; but these food plots on your hunting land are worth the effort as they offer variety along with nutrition.
